Three reasons why it could be an excellent opportunity to buy a ‘Distressed ‘ re-sale property rather than off plan.

1) Perhaps the most important reason is that you can get a bargain - especially if the seller requires an urgent sale. As an example, perhaps the completion date is getting close and for some reason the buyer is finding it difficult to find the necessary funds due to a change of circumstances. This sort of situation presents a great opportunity for buyers who can move quickly.

2) You could find a resale property that is in a more favourable position in terms of its location than what is currently available.

3) If you buy off plan you will generally have around a two year wait before the property is completed. If you buy resale you could have the property within a much shorter time frame
